Our Story

Rootdown is a certified organic farm located in the beautiful Pemberton Valley. We grow over 30 varieties of field and greenhouse vegetables.

Established in 2009, we’re committed to providing outstanding locally grown produce to the communities of Pemberton and Whistler. We do this through our weekly Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Harvest Box program, and by supplying better restaurants and grocery retailers.

Our mission is to support our community by producing quality organic vegetables, using sustainable growing practices.

Our Land

We are privileged to operate Rootdown Farm on the traditional lands of the Lil’wat Nation. Situated in the mid-valley of the Pemberton Meadows, we have fine growing soils, and ample river and ground water, making it an excellent place to take root. We are grateful for the incredible opportunity to grow upon these lands.

Our Community

We are fortunate in being able to help provide an alternative to the global industrialized food industry. We are are privileged to be in the company of those that strive for something more nutritious, both in what we eat and in how we grow.

From our production to our packaging, we try to do more with less, living lighter on the planet, thinking globally, and acting locally.

Rootdown Organic Farm is certified organic through Pacific Agriculture Certification Society. We are active participants in the Pemberton Farmers Institute (PFI).

Our People

We are grateful for all the hardworking humans (and farm dogs) that make Rootdown Farm truly greater than the sum of its parts!
