Hot July

It’s been hot in Pemberton. Not like pleasantly summer warm, but like pushing the line of unbearably, oppresively HOT. There are fairly serious fires down the valley and there is a constant haze of smoke hanging in the super heated air. But we have been getting ‘er done and are settling into a good pattern of  weeding, harvesting and going to weekly markets. It’s a lot of work and I mean a lot, but it is so gratifying watching your food being placed in people’s shopping bags to be carted off to someone’s kitchen in order to nourish them and their families.
